Mermaid Maternity Photoshoot ….nothing is more fascinating and exciting for me than doing this session 😀 n yes it was real, the location, mermaid 😀 and the costume everything was real …I was way too excited when I did this dreamy magical photoshoot. People do say …na it was done in the studio with croma effect and edited in photoshop. Well …No.

In photography there is a reality so subtle that it becomes more real than reality.

This was done in the beautiful backwaters of Panshet, Pune. It was very much challenging for me to choose the perfect background and location for this particular shoot.

I was looking for still, clean and clear water to have that perfect reflection. The depth of the water should not be more than 2 feet so that I could easily stand, place my light stand and do the photoshoot. Also placing the client in that water was a bit challenging as after wearing the costume she was not able to move n so I was looking for a safe and secure location to place her in the water.

I must say she was looking absolutely stunner in that mermaid costume. As i always do before any outdoor photoshoot checking location is very much important. Having easy access for carrying equipments and to walk around for mom-tobe is of atmost important.

Photography for me is not looking, it’s feeling. If you can’t feel what you’re looking at, then you’re never going to get others to feel anything when they look at your pictures.
